on the way back, i almost stepped on this guy. lets just say it caught me off guard.

here's another try at this image. at first i tried a plains type of scene, and then became more interested in this setting.

right now its still just blocked in. i intend to throw some more "paint" at this later, so check back!

here's a quick sketch i started after work. i was inspired by something similar on kinman chan's blog. i've never met him, but i am a fan of his blog.

i'd like to sit down and revisit this a little each day. sooner or later, i'll add a town or some sort of narrative. to be honest, i don't know where this will go, but will consider this version a start.

He was inspired by the bad guy in the latest Coen Bros. flick, No Country for Old Men . The sketch below I did while watching and later made my own character in Photoshop (top).

I didn't come close to the brash, "I am the baddest dude ever," attitude of the guy in the film. Anyways, its practice.
